Bo Jutsu is a martial art of traditional Japanese long stick fighting. This special martial art has its origin on the Ryu Kyu Islands of Okinawa. In 'sKobudo Bo Jutsu's, the beginner will find a systematic introduction into the basics of Bo fighting techniques. The content of 'sKobudo Bo Jutsu's is based on the experience which the author gained during numerous studies in Japan and Okinawa. Therefore, authentic Kobudo is presented in this book, originating from the roots of real Japanese martial arts. Helmut Kogel studied Shotokan Karate and trained under H. Kanazawa, H. Nishiyama and H. Shirai. From 1992 on, he also learned Philippine Arnis, Kobudo and Nihon Jujutsu. During several studies in Japon and Okinawa, he became experienced in several martial arts. Under the guidance of Japanese grandmasters, he achieved the degree of 4th Dan in Karate Renshi, 4th Dan in Kobudo Renshi and ist Dan in Nihon Jujutsu.
